Well the original was awesome, but never even really got considered for production. Is there a chance with the new new beetle Dune? I would have bought one in 2000, and I would buy one tomorrow. Slated for a reveal at the Detroit Auto Show

Did you miss the FP post on it? Either way, Im up for an oppo debate on it. Specifically, what would it take to make we want one? or what would it need to be a true "dune" bug. As for making me want one? hmmm, I was going to say Golf R underneath...but they I would just want a golf R. In terms of what would make it a "dune" buggy? rwd, lots of HP. Then I might also buy it.

I totally did. Figured it may have been but I didnt see it. Screw the FP anyhow. I was all about waiting in 2000 to see if it would get greenlit. Ended up buying a 1 year old A4 instead
